Soil Croson Monitering System

 | This system allows monitoring of erosion and deposition automatically. Conventional, manual methods like erosion pins and resurvey techniques can only reveal net change to a site since the previous field visit. They cannot therefore reveal the ‘true’ temporal distribution of erosional and depositional activity. The high-resolution information from this system, however, is incredibly valuable in process and management studies for erosion. This system consists of a weatherproof enclosure,
which contains the data logger and power supply, and comes complete with a solar panel, tripod stand and sensor.
Sensor is 30 inches long optoelectronic device containing a row of overlapping photovoltaic cells connected in series, and enclosed within a waterproofed, transparent, tube. The sensor generates an analogue voltage proportional to the sensor length exposed to light.
Measure every major environmental condition with this sensor & Data logger. Measurements can automatically stored in systems memory as per user selectable logging period. Comes with integral solar panel, which will easily keep the batteries charged throughout the year. A durable hard enclosure protects the data logger
from weathering. User-replaceable SMF batteries. Data file is saved in Microsoft’s Excel.
Data Shuttle
The data shuttle is a pocketsized device that can be used to download & transport the data from Data logger to a computer, allowing the instrument to stay in place for continuous monitoring/recording. The shuttle connects to a PC and is used with the “Virtualware” to download data.
